イベントの案内

こんにちは、城間びんがた工房の城間栄市です。今回、工房のギャラリーにてイベントを開催することになりました。普段、工房は見学を受け入れておりません。それは、私たちが染色の制作に専念できる環境を大切にしているからです。しかしながら、時折、琉球舞踊の方をお招きしたり、お香の先生を呼んだりして、文化的な交流の場を設けています。こうした時間は、私たち職人にとっても非常に重要なものです。

そのような意図から、2024年11月29日（金）と11月30日（土）の2日間、イベントを開催することになりました。内容としては、琉球舞踊の鑑賞がメインですが、私自身も20分ほど、紅型の歴史や城間家の歴史についてお話しさせていただく予定です。この機会に「もっと紅型を知りたい」「琉球文化に触れてみたい」という方や、紅型や沖縄の文化をまだご存知ない方にも、広く深く知っていただける時間になればと願っております。

Hello, I am Eiichi Shiroma from the Shiroma Bingata Workshop. We are excited to announce that we will be holding an event at our workshop gallery. Usually, we do not allow public tours of the workshop, as we prioritize maintaining an environment where we can focus on the dyeing process. However, from time to time, we invite performers of traditional Ryukyu dance or specialists in various cultural practices to share and engage in cultural exchanges. These moments are also very important for us, the artisans.

With that in mind, we have decided to hold an event on Friday, November 29, and Saturday, November 30, 2024. The main attraction will be a performance of Ryukyu dance, but I will also take about 20 minutes to talk about the history of Bingata and the Shiroma family. Whether you are someone who wants to learn more about Bingata, someone interested in experiencing Ryukyu culture, or even someone unfamiliar with Bingata or Okinawan culture, we hope this event will provide a meaningful opportunity to explore and deepen your knowledge.
